Greetings Friends,
Since you have received our announcement about the 30th anniversary of the International Fly Tying Symposium scheduled for November 21 & 22, 2020, the world is still facing an uncertain future due to the pandemic. Tiers at this moment around the country are faced with travel restrictions and even worse, our European tiers are mostly banned from flying here. All of this could ruin the symposium. But if it all changes over the next four months the symposium could be overrun with happy customers. No one has a guaranteed prediction. If we never had this virus happening the 30th symposium would be our best ever.
So I am working with the same energy and planning to bring our weekend to the Hilton in Parsippany, NJ as I have the last 29 years. But the only way I can be prepared is if I know I have your support. Please send your forms for your tables and booths, with payments. Of course, if we have to cancel you will either get refunded or I will use your money for a much needed trip to Belize and you’re screwed. Just kidding, but it did enter my mind for a moment.
In all seriousness let’s be positive and hopeful. The rush to be part of the symposium at the last minute if the pandemic is dead makes it very difficult for me to put everything together in the last few weeks. If it helps I can extend the August 1st deadline to September 1st. But if I don’t hear from you, don’t receive a table or booth request along with payment, I can’t promise you a space. I’ve already had a surprising number of new tiers and several exhibitors wanting to join us for the first time.
Let’s forge ahead because we all need a great symposium. I can’t predict, but I can hope. And if we have to wait until 2021 for the 30th anniversary I’ll only be a year older like everyone else. Keep healthy and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments. But please submit your paperwork so I know your plans for now.
